It was about a half hour before I herd Jim's
van pull up the driveway. The puppy ran to
the back hallway to see who was at the door.
Jim came through the door and picked up the
puppy. Following behind Jim was Shot Glass
Joe.
Joe has been a friend of mine for several
years and he lives two blocks down the street.
I go over to his house after the bar closes.
He has a huge barn in his backyard. Almost
every night he has a party their. He is a
pyromaniac and has large fires and fireworks.
Small groups of people gather there at night
to see a spectacular show of exploding lights
while listening to classic music. Joe complemented
Jim on his new puppy saying,
"He's huge!"
Jim quickly announced to us that he is naming
the dog Bon. In Memory Of Bonn Scot, the
original lead vocalist and songwriter for
the heavy metal band ACDC.
Jim latter started calling the pup Bonsai.
He said that Bonsai reminded him more like
a kamikaze pilot the way he recklessly dives
after the frizz-bee.
Joe said that he had to get back home before
his food got cold so he told Jim to pay me
off. Jim thanked me for getting Bonsai and
gave me my fifty dollars back.
I saw Jim the next day. He was already training
Bonsai. He was training Bonsai to sit and
stay and rewarding his student with slices
of American cheese.
Bonsai caught on quick and about a week later,
I saw Bonsai pulling Jim on his skateboard.
