Jim & Rob

After the first time my dad had seen a Jim, performing live with his band DEUCE EX, he said that he could feel the spirit of legendary vocalist Jim Morrison come through our Jim! It was on the same night our Jim had rolled around in the campfire's hot coals. Jim did not know that my mother had died in a fire. Although Jim showed little respect for the dangers of fire my dad still became a big fan of his work. My dad is not the only one who thinks that if "The Doors" ever want to get back together that OUR Jim Morrison is the best possible replacement for their seemingly deceased vocalist. For me thought I think Jim can almost sound like anyone he want s to sound like, From King Diamond to Mick Jagger or Randy Travis to Little Richard.
Being Jim FIRST personal photographer I know Jim as good as anyone else and on this night he was the happiest I had ever seen him! Jim at first was not even going to go! He thought that he was not worthy!
One of Jim's close friends Bob (former guitarist for "Dead Meat" and "Beautiful Bert & The Croch Crickets", convinced him that it is his destiny to meet up with Rob! We told Jim,
"You never know Rob might want to jam with you!"
We all know that Jim can not pass up a chance to jam.
Well when Jim and Rob met, Jim was in his classic form singing and playing his harmonica. However Rob did not seem too impressed but he did tell me that OUR Jim Morrison's voice has the same Ora that his seemingly deceased friend and vocalist possessed. I got the feeling that Rob felt younger just being around Jim's reckless nature.
Before we left Jim gave Rob a autographed copy of "Jim's Strange Journey" and a tie-dye tee-shirt. In return Rob autographed Jim's denim.
When I started working on this page I never imagine that I would get the chance to party with the legendary guitarist of "THE DOORS!" I was so lucky to be apart of this and I want to again thank Meg, "The Kringle Lady" for this unbelievable experience. Pamela Pietragalla
