there in the light.
The following is written by: Julie Smith STORY ABOUT a gang called Iron Hourse.
Farmers Woods
In this year, Halloween came to be a big
adventure for a small gang located on the
south side of town. They called their gang
the Black Knights. The town's people didn't
care for this gang due to their thievery
and use of marijuana. The gang consisted
of six members, Mark, Lewis, Toker, Spike,
Rocky, and Ivan the leader. All were between
the ages of eleven and thirteen. They held
their gatherings in the nearby woods behind
a small farmhouse.
The farmer was a sad depressed
old disfigured
man who also is hard of hearing
and farsighted.
His life was greatly changed
when his wife
was burned alive when getting
some eggs out
of the barn a few months earlier.
From that
day on the only companions this
old farmer
has is his animals. One in particular
is
his goat, Smiley, that he took
everywhere
with him. All the town's people left this hermit and
his problems to himself. No one ever ventured
onto his property because he had signs posted
that read "Trespassers Will Be Shot!" The farmer did know about the Black Knights
and how they had their gatherings on his
property. He hated the Black Knights and
has called the police on them many times
before for vandalism. All of the Black Knights
except for Mark and Spike were striping down
some stolen bikes in Ivan's garage. They
were deciding what they were going to do
tonight for Halloween. "I think we should have a party in the
farmers woods !"
Rocky said. Lewis then said, "Yea, we can bring a garbage can out
there filled with ice to put the quarter
barrel in." "Do you think we will
be able to convince the girls to come out
there?"
Toker asked. Answering Toker
Ivan said,
"No problem!" "As
long as
we promise to stay close to them
to protect
them from the farmer." "I think we should have a party in the
farmers woods !" Rocky said. Lewis then said,
"Yea, we can bring a garbage
can out
there filled with ice to put
the quarter
barrel in." "Do you
think we will

Toker asked. Answering Toker
Ivan said,
"No problem!" "As

Just when Ivan finished what he said a hurried
coded knock is heard on the garage door.
Ivan unlocks the door then Mark and Spike
dash inside laughing carrying a portable
CD player. Mark said running out of breath,
"You should have seen the
look on their
faces."
Ivan asked Mark and Spike what
happen. Mark
then told what happen earlier
that day on
the other side of town outside
of record
store. Mark said while trying
to control
his laughter,
"Spike just ran up to these
two guys
a grabbed the CD player and took

All the town's people left this hermit and
