Then with Captain Jack on his shoulder and me in his bug-tote Jim left the bar. He continued walking to a street corner and where a trolley was picking up passengers. Jim got in line behind the other people boarding the trolley and he waited for his turn to get on.
On the way to here, the English man whose hair I hid in stopped and visited a friend in San Francisco so I was familiar with trolleys. However, this one was different. All the other trolleys had very large people driving it. However, a yellow and white parakeet drove this one. While we were boarding the trolley the parakeet said,
"Did you get the fly?"
Captain Jack answered,
"Yes we did. Her name is Angie Strawberry and she is inside of Jim's bug-tote."
The parakeet then looked at me and said,
"Hello Angie, my name is Shea! Thanks for helping us in rescuing Tommy! As soon as we are out of this traffic I will tell you what to do."
Then while perched on the steering wheel, Shea began to whistle swaying back and forth, as the trolley cruised down the busy street.
It was not long before the trolley turned off the busy street and was cruising along the lakeshore.
Shea then said.
"Here's the plan. Jim is going to let you out of the bug-tote and I want you to fly over-there by that red lighthouse. Then I need you to hover close as you can to the lake water. Charlie is waiting in the lake water for you and he will fill you in on the rest of the plan. And good-luck Angie!"
When Shea was finished, Jim let me out of the bug-tote. Following Shea's directions, I flew against a stiff breeze toward the red lighthouse and hovered just above the lake water. I then heard a voice in my head saying,
"Hello, my name is Charlie and I want you to close your eyes and don't move!"
Soon as I did what Charlie instructed me to do, I felt the lake breeze disappear. Then Charlie told me that I could open my eyes again.
I could not see anything and in my thoughts, I asked Charlie,
"Where am I?"
Charlie replied,
"You are in my mouth. I told you to close your eyes so I would not startle you when I dove out of the water and swallowed you.
"I thought you would be smaller! You are pretty fat for a fly."
Charlie then said that it is good that I am well fed because I will need the energy to for the rescue plan to be successful.
I could not believe it! I wish those maggots back home could see me now! Here I was inside of a fish on my way to save the brother of my favorite crooner! I was feeling a lot of pride inside Charlie's dark mouth until I became seasick. My head started spinning and then I began to vomit uncontrollably.
